Vercetti Enterprises Nears Half-Way Mark on Building the First Popeye’s Restaurant in West Miami.
“Many of the local residents have passed by in excitement to see the old Burger King transformed into the first Popeye’s restaurant in the area. We’re nearly complete with the structure, underground work and all of the interior material and equipment is lined-up and ready to get installed”, said Danny Vercetti, president of Vercetti Enterprises.
“Many of us have either grown up in this part of Miami or began working very close to here. A project like this lets us partner with local businesses, and select subcontractors, material suppliers, and workforce labor.” – Danny Vercetti, President of Vercetti Enterprises
Following on the heels of their successful ground up Popeye’s restaurant in Homestead, Vercetti Enterprises is bringing the franchise’s first location to 8th street. The extensive remodel will be a complete interior and exterior renovation of the existing location and will feature a new roof, building, and site lighting, impact windows, flooring, and new electrical, plumbing and HVAC infrastructure.
This particular corridor of US-41 see’s over 50,000 vehicles per day and will be a much-welcomed addition to the area which features restaurants such as Arby’s, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and Dunkin Donuts. With the recent closing of the existing Burger King location, this conversion will allow Popeye’s to continue expanding its foothold in the South Florida market. This would also mark Sun Holding’s first project of the new year in Miami.
Vercetti Enterprises is slated to complete the project within 60 calendar days. This will mark the quickest construction turn around for a Popeyes restaurant in South Florida.
