Vercetti Enterprises Begins Construction on 40 Redland Townhomes in Homestead
Vercetti Enterprises begins construction on a ground-up development of 40 townhomes in Homestead. Delivered for the Homestead Housing Authority, the multifamily construction project, Redland Phase V & VI, will bring new affordable homes to southern Miami-Dade County.
The development forms part of Redland Center, which the housing authority identifies as a 278-unit residential community. The USDA-funded project will serve local agricultural workers, connecting new housing with the people who support the area’s agricultural economy. It also supports the housing authority’s work to provide affordable homes for local families.
Four residential buildings will anchor the development, complemented by parking, walkways, and landscaped areas. Together, the homes and surrounding improvements will create a welcoming residential setting designed around the daily needs of future residents.
Spanning approximately six acres, the project requires coordination across the entire development, not just within each individual building. As the project’s multifamily general contractor, Vercetti will oversee both the new homes and their supporting infrastructure. Close coordination between trades and utility providers will carry the project from initial site preparation through completion.
Long-term use is also part of the project’s design. Durable concrete stairs and second-floor decks will support everyday use. Meanwhile, drought-resistant landscaping and irrigation improvements will help reduce water consumption. These choices reflect an emphasis on how the development will function beyond the construction phase.
The start of construction marks another step in the housing authority’s investment in local families. It also adds to Vercetti Enterprises’ multifamily construction experience in South Florida. Bringing together ground-up construction and community amenities, the development will deliver new homes and the infrastructure needed to support future residents.
